Fall 2009: Love Your Body Poster Contest Winners
Thank you to all who submitted posters to our 2009 Love Your Body poster contest. Out of the many impressive entries we received, our Body Project judges selected three winners. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all of the contestants for helping promote healthy body image!

October 21, 2009: BU "Love Your Body" Poster Exhibit and Reception, Wednesday, October 21 from 12-1 PM in the Student Center Atrium.
October 3, 2009: "Love Your Body" Body Art Station at Late Night BU, the Markin Center. Free and open to all Bradley Students.
April 1-29, 2009: New Research from Dr. Angie Moe at Western Michigan University suggests that participation in Middle Eastern Dance ("Belly Dance") helps promote body acceptance and a positive self image while reducing stress and contributing to physical fitness. Bradley University's Body Project sponsored a weekly Belly Dancing class during the Spring of 2009.
Kick Up Your Body Image: Kick up your energy. Kick up your fun. Kick your body image with free kick-boxing classes at Late Night BU, Friday, March 27, Midnight-1:20 AM, the Markin Center.
"The Desire to Inspire: The Struggles and Triumphs of Overcoming an Eating Disorder," presented by Kristin D. Kaye, National Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion. Monday, February 23, 2009, 7:30 PM, Bradley University's Baker Hall, Room B51.
Belly Dancing Workshop: Learn to love your body through the ancient art of Belly Dancing. Get fit, have fun, and celebrate the human form in all its shapes and sizes! Saturday, February 28, 2009, 10:30 PM-Midnight at Late Night BU, Markin Recreation Center.
Wednesday, March 5, 2008: Nationally-renowned author and speaker Jean Kilbourne presented "The Naked Truth: Advertising's Image of Women" to a standing-room-only crowd in Bradley's Neumiller Theater.
Thursday, March 6, 2008: Jean Kilbourne addressed another crucial topic, the marketing of alcohol and tobacco, in "Deadly Persuasion: Advertising and Addiciton." Many students returned for a second chance to hear Kilbourne speak.
Thursday, April 3, 2008: Celebrate Your Body Fair. An afternoon of fun-filled activities designed to celebrate the human body in all its shapes and sizes! 3-6 PM.
